Job Description
The Medical Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and clinics. The role focuses on executing sales strategies, expanding market presence, and building long-term relationships with key medical stakeholders. This position requires strong product knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to achieve sales targets within assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Promote, position, and sell the company pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and clinics.
- Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve or exceed assigned targets.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Effectively communicate the benefits, indications, and competitive advantages of the products.
2. Territory & Customer Management:
- Plan and conduct regular visits to healthcare professionals to maintain and strengthen relationships.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and decision-makers in the medical field.
- Organize and participate in medical conferences, seminars, and product launches to enhance brand awareness.
- Ensure optimal coverage of assigned territories by maintaining a structured visit plan.
3. Product Knowledge & Training:
- Stay updated on medical and scientific advancements relevant to the product portfolio.
-Provide accurate product information, clinical data, and prescribing guidelines to HCPs.
- Deliver professional presentations and demonstrations to healthcare professionals.
- Continuously improve knowledge through company training programs and self-learning.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor and report competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Provide valuable insights on customer needs and market dynamics to support strategic planning.
- Maintain accurate records of sales performance, customer interactions, and visit reports.
- Submit timely and detailed reports as per company requirements.
5. Compliance & Ethical Standards:
- Ensure all promotional activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Adhere to ethical sales practices, avoiding misrepresentation of products or misleading claims.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company data, sales strategies, and customer information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and remote detailing techniques.
- Fair command of English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in sales, marketing, or medical training.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel inside/outside Iraq.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
